A man with a history of stealing cars has been charged with killing an 86-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man during a car theft.

Dominic McGee, 31, was charged by Wyandotte County prosecutors with first-degree murder in the Nov. 29 death of Frank Davila .

McGee also was charged in Wyandotte County District Court with a felony count of theft.

Davila, long-time owner of Frankie D’s Bar and Grill in Kansas City, Kan., was fatally injured while trying to stop someone from stealing his pickup truck in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue. Never miss a local story.
