Probation Department investigation yields five arrests, 41 pounds of pot | The Sacramento Bee

The Sacramento County Probation Department seized 41 pounds of processed marijuana and arrested five people Thursday in south Sacramento after a weekslong investigation, according to a department news release.

The arrests, conducted in conjunction with the Sacramento Police Department, also resulted in the recovery of 38.6 grams of methamphetamine, a loaded semi-automatic pistol, $2,704 in cash, digital scales and a cash counting machine, authorities reported.

Officers arrested Lor Chao, Vue Massie, Her Vang, Susan Vang and Pang Ngo on charges ranging from possession and transportation of marijuana and methamphetamine for sale, possession of narcotic paraphernalia to gun and ammunition possession by a felon. Both Her Vang and Susan Vang’s charges included violating their probation, while Massi was also arrested for a no-bail, post-community release felony warrant, according to the Probation Department.

Probation officers launched an investigation after it was suspected the subjects were not complying with court ordered probation conditions, which required them to list a valid housing address, and engaging in illegal activities. Never miss a local story.
