BURLINGTON — An undercover prostitution sting operation carried out by police led to the arrest of five men on Friday night.
George Arkalis, 20, and Naren Koya, 28, both of Burlington; Christopher O’Connell, 33, of Wilmington; Paul Zagami, 53, of Bedford; and Dana Cangiamila, 50, of Billerica, were each charged with sexual conduct for a fee, according to Burlington police.
Cangiamila was also charged with possession of a Class B substance and a warrant out of Haverhill District Court for motor vehicle offenses.
Burlington police stated they have arrested more than 46 people in these types of operations during the last six years.
"Similar to operations conducted in the past, these investigations are done in an effort to stop human trafficking and disrupt the relentless cycle of harm caused by the sex trade," Saturday’s release stated.
All five suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in Woburn District Court on Monday.Follow Aaron Curtis on Twitter @aselahcurtis.
