The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office is reportedly waiting for an “airtight” case against Danny Masterson before filing charges. The Los Angeles District Attorney is looking into multiple accusations of rape against “That ’70s Show” alum Danny Masterson, but the office is reportedly not prepared to press charges against the actor.
“Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey has asked the deputy district attorney Reinhold Mueller, handling the Danny Masterson rape investigation, for further investigation after the case was formally presented to her almost three months ago,” a source in the DA’s office told Us Weekly .
“This case is being taken very seriously, and does have top priority within the sex crimes division of the office. Not because of Mr. Masterson’s celebrity status, but because of the heinous allegations by the alleged victims.”
Five women have accused Masterson of rape, including four who first made the allegations in March.
He has since been written out of his Netflix show, “The Ranch,” and dropped by United Talent Agency.
