A New York City woman says she’s gratified by the arrest of a neurologist on charges that he raped her repeatedly while she was his patient.

Dr. Ricardo Cruciani was taken into custody Tuesday and will be arraigned on multiple counts of rape and other sex crimes.

Forty-five-year-old Hillary Tullin says she testified before a grand jury about two weeks ago. She tells The Associated Press that Cruciani "needs to be locked up."

The AP reported last year that at least 17 women in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey had stepped forward to accuse Cruciani of sexual misconduct in encounters dating back at least a dozen years. Never miss a local story.
