A headmistress who allowed her paedophile boyfriend to mix with children with special needs was exposed when they booked a romantic holiday together, a tribunal heard.

Maddalena Reina, 41, has now been banned from teaching for life for what education chiefs called a ‘shocking case’ of abuse of power.

She was head of the the senior school – William Morris – at the Hornbeam Academy, Walthamstow, as well as the lead on safeguarding, when she invited the pervert there for the day and later lied to police about him being there.
