Dominique R Taylor, 33, was jailed for 18 years by a judge in Maryland after admitting six counts of motor vehicle manslaughter in September.
Taylor had twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system when she left a house party near Bowie, Maryland, at around 4am on 2 February last year with six other people on board. Pic: NBC4 Her daughters London Dixon, 8, and Paris Dixon, 5, were killed, along with three of their cousins: Damari Herald, 15; Zion Beard, 14; and Rickelle Ricks, 6.
All the children were on the back seat and an adult, Cornell “Donte” Simon, 23, was in the passenger seat.
The youngsters, who were not wearing seat belts, were thrown from her Chrysler Pacifica when the SUV veered off Route 301 and crashed into several trees at about 4.25 am.
All five children were pronounced dead at the scene, while Mr Simon was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He was placed on life support, but was taken off it weeks later.
