THE shamed ex-Today show host Matt Lauer has ripped Ronan Farrow’s reporting and has hit back at his former colleague’s “false” rape claim.
Lauer accused the author of being “manipulative” in his book, but Farrow hit back and said the former anchor is “just wrong.” Lauer ripped Farrow’s reporting on Tuesday Credit: AP:Associated Press The disgraced host wrote an article published on the Mediaite website a day after an investigation in The New York Times suggested that Farrow, who won a Pulitzer for his work on the accusations against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, was less than thorough in vetting his work.
He also said the writer had not confirm several specific accusations against him in the 2019 book “Catch and Kill.”
Lauer wrote: “From start to finish Ronan is acting as Brooke’s advocate, not as a journalist investigating her claims.”

“I also believe that some of Ronan’s sources felt they could make outrageous claims to him, knowing he (and thus their stories) would not be doubted.”
