HPD Detective Michael Arrington investigates a homicide scene in Brays Oaks on June 26.
Houston police are investigating the deaths of two men in separate shootings Friday night, though little is known so far about the circumstances leading up to the homicides.
Around 8 p.m., officers found a man shot in the head inside an apartment at 4312 Crane St. in Kashmere Gardens, according to detective Mike Nicotra. No weapons were found in the apartment, and investigators haven’t identified any suspects yet. It did not appear to be a burglary, Nicotra said.
A couple hours later, a man in his 20s was found shot in the chest around 10:45 p.m. in a Brays Oaks park on Fondren Place Drive. A witness reported that a black or dark SUV fled the scene, according to detective Michael Arrington. Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to call the homicide division at 713-308-3600, or to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
