COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Columbus Police say a man has been charged with murder after his wife was shot and killed Thursday at Griggs Reservoir.
Police said Kathleen Boyuk, 75, was found slumped over in a car in the parking lot Thursday morning.
When police arrived, they found her suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to Riverside Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the investigation revealed that Kathleen was killed by her husband, Walter Boyuk, 77. He has been arrested and charged with murder.
It was a scary moment for people walking in Griggs Reservoir after police found Kathleen Boyuk shot in her car in broad daylight.
“We were called to Griggs Reservoir on a report of a woman slumped over in a white car parked in the parking lot,” said Sgt. James Fuqua with Columbus police. “It is definitely a homicide and we’re trying to gather the facts.”
