Kassanndra Marie Cantrell, is a 33-year-old woman who lives in Parkland, Washington. She is about 3 months pregnant. According to her mom, the morning of Tuesday, August 25th was like every other. They said their goodbyes and I love yous in the morning, before her mom left for work and it seemed like a regular day. Now her mom said that the only plans for the day she thought Kassanndra had was to go grocery shopping. But it wouldn’t have been like her to go first thing in the morning. However, Kassanndra did leave home in the morning and she had gotten ready for the day as if she was meeting someone. The last image of her in her neighborhood was caught on a doorbell cam leaving the home she lived in w/ her mom and stepdad on Tuesday, 8/25 at 8:44am. She appeared to be alone. And this is the last time she was seen.

We have the charging documents and the Determination for Probable Cause that was filed on Monday for the murders of Jessica Lewis and Austin Wenner. The probable cause document has a lot of details – and by that I mean, it is six pages long. The charging documents specify that Michael Lee Dudley is being charged on two counts of second degree murder – one count for Jessica and one for Austin. It’s a pretty basic, typical charging document. But they are saying that this crime wasn’t premeditated. They are alleging that while in some kind of altercation or felony assault, Dudley then decided to kill the victims.
So we left off where Shannon Ryan is brought into custody for kidnapping charges for allegedly dropping Kamdyn off at The Edge Apartments in Miramar. We know that investigators have surveillance and cell phone records of Shannon leaving the Hollywood RaceTrac and going to the apartments in Miramar between 8:15 and 8:38am on July 26th. We also know that there is video footage of Shannon purchasing trash bags, odor eliminator and duct tape. Earlier reports in the media stated that Shannon used Leila’s credit card to make purchases at RaceTrac and Walmart, however, he was in fact using his girlfriend’s card, Christine Lawson – who is the woman he references in the hospital. We are going to fill in some of the blanks with what we know from testimony that was given in last Friday’s hearing. But before we get to that, I want to talk about something that is really bugging me about this case. And that is when police began taking the dumpsters from RaceTrac. They removed them this past Thursday, over 3 weeks after Leila was reported as missing. It seems like a really long time before they start searching dumpsters, doesn’t it?
This past week we reported on a scary stalking case in Lutz, Florida, where Sonya Deville was targeted by a man named Phillip Thomas. If you missed our coverage on the case, I will link it down below. This guy cyberstalked her for five years and went virtually undetected until he broke into her house last weekend while she was home.Today we’re going to take a look at messages that were sent on social media platforms that were entered into evidence last week. Then we are going to review surveillance footage and other messages that Fox 13 has obtained.
This afternoon 28 year old Quake Lewellyn made his first court appearance at the Jackson County Courthouse. He arrived with law enforcement wearing a bulletproof vest. He was silent when reporters asked him if he killed Sydney Sutherland. About two dozen of Sydney’s family members were in the courtroom and only two people were sitting on the defense side of the room. The probable cause hearing was held for the charges of capital murder, rape and kidnapping.According to an Arkansas State Police agent testifying in this case, Quake Lewellyn was traveling westbound on County Rd 41 when he observed Sydney walking and passed by her. He then made a U-turn and came back to where she was, abducted her, put her in the back of his truck and brought her to farmland and sexually assaulted her. Then he buried her there. There weren’t any witnesses who testified about her cause of death.
We’re waiting on a date and time for his arraignment, but in the 48 hours since Sheriff David Lucas announced that Sydney’s body was found, we’ve learned a lot about her alleged killer. We expect that officials in Arkansas will arraign Quake Lewellyn and present formal charges against him. Right now, we know he is charged with Capital murder, which in Arkansas requires one of several aggravating factors.
